Super Host, Super House

Large renovated 3 bed house in Kal Positive: Very large clean house with a responsive owner. Negative: The front door only had a deadlock so you had to lock yourself in or out, this was easily resolved by asking for a second key which was delivered promptly.

Positive: Location, privacy. Negative: Would have like a plug for the bath, we couldn’t locate one.

A good home in a good location but very poorly cleaned and set up for holiday rental. Positive: It was spacious and comfortable for 2 x couples. Negative: We didn’t like that the ‘Super Host” did not answer any of my 3 x messages asking for check-in instructions on the day. We had to sit in a hotel until 3.19pm when he finally answered with the lock box details. The house was not well set up as the gas bottles were empty, there were no tea towels, or hand towels and only 1 bath mat. No clean dishcloths - just a dirty second hand sponge. A used electric toothbrush lay in one of the kitchen drawers. When the missing items were mentioned to the host he did his best to drop everything off to us ASAP. There was no floor waste grill in either of the showers which is not nice. The lounge suite and cushions were very grubby. We run our own Air BnB and would not offer it in this state.

Positive: Very welcoming and clean Negative: Needed a few more kitchen utensils and tea towels

Fully enjoyed the stay Positive: New Kitchen, new Bathroom Extra attched bathroom. New washing and drying. Negative: Couch was old, A water plug for bath tub wasn't available on the main bathroom, so couldn't enjoy a nice warm.
